Osmania University (OU) is a public
university located at Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh, India. The name is
originated from the Turkish-Muslim Osmanic Empire. It is one of the
oldest universities with modern infrastructure in India. It was the
first University in the country, which has Urdu language as medium of
instruction. Approximately 300,000 students on its various campuses and
affiliated colleges are enrolled under the roof of this University. OU
is famous for its Arts, Sciences, Commerce, Engineering and Technology
departments.

Eligibility:
The eligibility criteria and other
rules and regulations along with entrance syllabus are given in
the Information Brochure. Candidates appearing for the final year
of the qualifying examination during 2009-2010 are also eligible to
apply. 5% Supernumerary seats in each course are available to the
candidates from outside Andhra Pradesh under National Integration Quota.

Candidates should filled in
applications along with a demand draft (drawn on any nationalized bank
in favor of “The Director, Directorate of Admissions, Osmania
University” payable at Hyderabad) for requisite registration fee should
reach the Director, Directorate of Admissions, Near University Press,
Osmania University, Hyderabad – 500609 on or before the dates mentioned
above. The registration fee details are given in Information Brochure.
The candidate can download a copy of application form & ICR sheet
and apply to The Director, Directorate of Admissions, O.U with a DD
for Rs.220/-per subject plus late fee, if any, on or before the last
dates mentioned above.
