The company has tied up with BSNL to provide devices bundled with BSNL
plans.
The Rs 1,199 device will come bundled with 1,199 minutes of talk-time
from BSNL free with it; and so on. The customer can avail this talk-time
for a 12 months--thereby making the device usage free for the consumer.
The Penta Bharat phone, 'SaareJahan Se Acha', is especially designed for
delivering internet access at affordable price points. Embedded with a
TFT-LCD screen and the proprietary JAVA Operating System, the internet
access makes it suitable for mobile banking, tele-medical care delivery
and streaming data delivery.
Besides, its 1800 mAh Lithium-Ion battery gives a standby time of 30
days.Bharat Phone has dual SIM functionality and it comes with a 1.3
Mega Pixel rear
Camera; Bluetooth for superfast sharing of files; 64MB RAM and 64MB of
internal storage; SMS Scheduler; rich multimedia gaming experience and
mobile tracker.
It is a super-slim phone which supports Auto Voice Call Recording; SMS
Scheduler and Stereo FM and Recording.
The Department of Posts is the channel distributor for these devices.
