ఉపాధ్యాయ అర్హతా పరీక్ష (టెట్) నోటిఫికేషన్ ఈ నెల 20న విడుదలవుతుంది. బీఈడీ, డీఈడీ కోర్సుల్లో ఉత్తీర్ణులైన వారు ఈ పరీక్ష రాసేందుకు అర్హులు. ఇప్పుడు, భాషా పండితులకు కూడా 'టెట్' రాసే అవకాశం కల్పించాలని ప్రభుత్వం తాజాగా నిర్ణయించింది. జూలై 31(ఆదివారం)న నిర్వహించదలచిన 'టెట్' పరీక్ష ఫలితాలను ఆగస్టు 15న ప్రకటిస్తారు. రాష్ట్ర వ్యాప్తంగా 6 నుంచి 7 లక్షల మంది ఈ పరీక్ష రాస్తారని అధికారుల అంచనా.

పరీక్షలో కనీసం 60 శాతం మార్కులు పొందిన ఓసీ అభ్యర్ధులను పాసైనట్లు పరిగణిస్తారు. బీసీ అభ్యర్ధులైతే 50 శాతం, ఎస్సీ/ఎస్టీ అభ్యర్ధులైతే 40 శాతం మార్కులు సంపాదిస్తేనే ఉత్తీర్ణులైనట్లు పరిగణిస్తారు. డీఎస్సీ రిక్రూట్‌మెంట్‌లో 'టెట్' మార్కులకు 20 శాతం వెయిటేజి ఇస్తారు. వచ్చే డీఎస్సీ నుంచే ఈ విధానం అమల్లోకి వస్తుంది. రాష్ట్ర స్థాయిలో ఏటా రెండు సార్లు 'టెట్' నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఒక సారి పాసైన అభ్యర్ధులకు జారీ చేసే సర్టిఫికెట్, ఏడు సంవత్సరాల వరకు ఉపయోగపడుతుంది.
'టెట్' మార్కులకు డీఎస్సీ రిక్రూట్‌మెంట్‌లో 20 శాతం మేర వెయిటేజి ఉన్నందున, మార్కుల ఇంప్రూవ్‌మెంట్ కోసం ఎన్ని సార్లయినా టెట్ పరీక్ష రాసేందుకు అవకాశం ఉంది. పరీక్ష తెలుగు, ఉర్దూ, హిందీ, బెంగాలీ, కన్నడ, మరాఠీ, ఒరియా, తమిళం, గుజరాతీ.. ఈ తొమ్మిది భాషలలో నిర్వహిస్తారు. పరీక్ష 2 పేపర్లుగా ఉంటుంది. ఒకటి నుంచి ఐదవ తరగతి వరకు బోధించే టీచర్ల కోసం పేపర్-1, 6 నుంచి 8వ తరగతి వరకు బోధించే ఉపాధ్యాయుల కోసం పేపర్-2 నిర్వహిస్తారు. 8వ తరగతి వరకు బోధించే టీచర్లు రెండు పేపర్లూ రాయాలి.
